One of the top hockey development programs in the region and building upon the tremendous success of from our previous SOLD OUT seasons, the Rising Stars Development League is the league to develop and start your hockey career. Our Instructors have combined years of training with NHL, OHL, Junior A, High Level Elite AAA, and Team Canada Members.

The curriculum is a 24 week (September to March) progressive program developed using the principals of Hockey Canada. The program is divided into four, six-week segments focusing on the fundamental aspects from technique to game situational drills created by Former University/OPHL player and OHA’s Director of Player Development Jake DeJulio and NCCP Coach Instructor/Hockey Canada Advisor Pat Kerr.

Over the last 15 years this program has developed over 2000 Hockey players and it is continuing to grow year after year. The Rising Stars is a Co-Ed League.

Our goal is to teach your children the necessary skills and more to kick start your child’s hockey journey. We strive to have a very fun environment for every individual player (Parents and Family Members too!). We understand everyone learns and processes information differently and we accommodate that with how our program is designed.

Oakville Hockey Academy is now accepting registrations for the Fall/Winter Development League for players Ages 4-8 from September to March including 1 evaluation day.

Practices (With Professional Instructors) are on Saturdays and Games Sundays ON FULL ICE 3on3 Size Rinks

Depending on age and skill level, times will be between 12:00-4:00pm on Saturdays/Sundays. All practices and games are 1 hour time slots

Practices are always the same time Saturdays and Game times on Sundays, are within the same time range for your division so you can plan weekends for your Family Better!!!

2023/2024 RISING STARS LEAGUE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

• 1 Evaluation Skate (Saturday September 9th)
• 23 Skill Practices with Professional Instructors (Starting Saturday September 16th)
• 23 Constructive Controlled/Instructional Games (Starting Sunday September 17th)
• Play With Your Friends – Up to 4 player friend requests accepted
• Including Playoff Weekends
• 1 Championship Weekend (March 2/3) ENDING BEFORE MARCH BREAK
  
• NO PRACTICES/GAMES over Christmas/New Year Holidays (Dec 23/24 & Dec 30/Dec 31)
• NHL Logo Jerseys & Socks
• OHA Hoodies
• END OF YEAR TROPHY CEREMONY AND PARTY

 

MUST BE ABLE TO SKATE ON THEIR OWN

Having completed Learn to Skate B/Can Skate Level 2 is REQUIRED.
